353.06 PARKING METER VIOLATIONS: EXPIRED METERS.

   Except as provided in Section 351.04(d), during the hours of limited parking, no person shall permit a vehicle to remain parked in a designated parking space while the parking meter for such space indicates that the vehicle is illegally parked, whether such indication is the result of the failure to deposit the required coin or coins provided in Section 353.09 and operate the lever or other actuating device of the meter or the result of the automatic operation of the meter following the expiration of the authorized parking time subsequently to the depositing of a coin or coins, as provided in Section 353.09, at the time the vehicle was parked.
