The regional planning commission shall have the power and authority upon approval of the city manager or city council to employ planners, engineers, attorneys, clerks and other help and to pay for their services, and to pay for such other expenses as the regional planning commission may legally incur, including the necessary disbursements incurred by its members in the performance of their duties as members of the commission. The financial commitments that may be undertaken by the regional planning commission shall be limited to the amount of funds that may from time to time be appropriated for such uses by public bodies. It shall be lawful for the board of county commissioners of the county to appropriate money for the expenses of the regional planning commission. (Ord. No. 293, 6/5/84)
