11-506: DUTIES AND POWER:
Duties and powers of the board of commission shall be as follows:
      1.   To investigate and recommend to the mayor of the city suitable historical ordinances for the city;
      2.   To investigate and make recommendations concerning the physical development, growth, improvement, convenience and beautification of the city as it relates to historical facilities;
      3.   To investigate all matters relating to the location and development of a historical society, location and design of buildings regarding the historical facilities and to make report of their findings on any proposed or contemplated project relative to historical facilities to the mayor of the city council of the city; and
      4.   All findings and recommendations of the board of commission affecting private property shall be submitted in writing to the city council of the city, for their examination, approval or rejection.
