7-105: CONFLICT OF INTEREST:
   A.   Conflict of Interest. Except as otherwise provided by this section, no municipal officer or employee, or any business in which the officer, employee, or spouse of the officer or employee has a Financial Interest, shall engage in:
      1.   Selling, buying, or leasing property, real or personal, to or from the municipality;
      2.   Contracting with the municipality; or
      3.   Buying or bartering for or otherwise engaging in any manner in the acquisition of any bonds, warrants, or other evidence of indebtedness of the municipality.
   B.   Gifts and Rebates. Officers and employees of the City or entity are expressly prohibited from accepting, directly or indirectly, from any person, company, firm or corporation to which any purchase order or contract is, or might be awarded, any rebate, gift, money or object which could be construed as such in excess of Fifty Dollars ($50.00), aggregate, in any one fiscal year, except where given for the use and benefit of the City. Payment of meal expenses in conjunction with occasional social gatherings shall not be considered a gift under this chapter. (Ord. 807, 10-19-2021)
