(A) Each separate dwelling unit must be provided with a curb stop at or near the curb line, and no two dwelling units may be supplied through a single service. Double houses shall be construed to be two dwelling units after the passing of this chapter.
(B) In cases where an existing multiple dwelling unit building is serviced by a single service line with a single water meter prior to the adoption of this subchapter, the borough will treat each dwelling unit as a separate consumer. The monthly charge for water service will be calculated as described in § 54.006 and will be invoiced to the property owner; the borough will not invoice tenants individually.
(C) In cases where an existing multi-dwelling unit building is serviced by a single service line and each dwelling unit is metered individually, the borough will treat each dwelling unit as a separate consumer. The monthly charge for water service will be calculated as described in § 54.004 AND § 54.005 and the invoice may be sent to either the property owner or the tenant.
