22-72   Truck Traffic Regulations; Definitions
For the purpose of §22-72 through §22-76.1, the following terms, phrases, words, and their derivations shall have the following meanings:
   A.   Delivery zone is any area within the City which is surrounded on all sides by truck routes;
   B.   Deviating truck is a truck which leaves a truck route while traveling inside the City;
   C.   Gross vehicle weight is the sum of the empty weight of a truck or vehicle-trailer combination, plus the weight of the maximum load to be carried thereon at any one time;
   D.   Light utility truck is a truck with a width no greater than six feet six inches (6' 6"), a length no greater than twenty feet (20'), and a gross vehicle weight no greater than 10,000 pounds;
   E.   Protected street is any street which has traffic control signs or signals protecting it at every intersection along its way and which transverses a delivery zone;
   F.   Trailer is any vehicle without motive power designed for carrying persons or property and for being drawn by a motor vehicle;
   G.   Truck is any vehicle designed or operated for the transportation of property;
   H.   Truck route is the system of streets as designated by §22-76, over and along which trucks may travel within the City.
