2-2-4: DEFINITIONS:
As used in this chapter, the following words and terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section:
APPLICANT: The person or persons, firm or corporation, making application for water service from the city under the terms of these regulations.
AUTO COURT, MOTOR COURT, TRAVEL TRAILER COURT, MOTEL, HOTEL: The combination or group of two (2) or more dwelling units occupying a building site or area under one ownership, used for the purpose of furnishing transient living accommodations.
CITY: The legally constituted municipal government of the city of Grace, Caribou County, Idaho.
CITY COUNCIL: The legally elected group of members composing the city council, including the mayor, of the city of Grace, Idaho.
CUSTOMER OR USER: The owner of a residence, building, structure, or tenant of a single-family dwelling, or tenant of a commercial business with single service connection, who has made application and who has been accepted under the terms of these regulations and who receives water service from the city. The term customer or user shall not include tenants of duplexes, multi-family dwellings, apartment houses, or commercial business buildings with two (2) or more connections, and it shall be the owner's responsibility to apply for service and to pay for service in such cases.
DUPLEX: A building designed, built, rented, or leased for occupancy by two (2) families living independently of each other.
MODULAR HOME: A modular home is constructed of premade parts and unit modules. Wall panels, trusses, and other prefabricated house parts are transported on a flatbed truck from the factory to the building site. At the building site, these house sections are lifted onto the fixed foundation where they are permanently anchored. Modular homes must conform to current state of Idaho codes.
MULTI-FAMILY DWELLING OR APARTMENT HOUSE: Any building or portion thereof which is designed, built, rented, leased, loaned, or hired out to be occupied or which is occupied as the home or residence of two (2) or more families or persons living independently of each other and doing their own cooking within the premises, which shall also include basement apartments, townhouses or condominiums.
SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING: A building designed for or occupied by one family for living or sleeping purposes, and having kitchen or cooking facilities.
SUPERINTENDENT: The person appointed by the city council to supervise the water system of the city.
TOWNHOUSE: Usually a single-family house of two (2) or sometimes three (3) stories that is usually connected to a similar house by a common side wall.
TRAILER HOUSE OR MOBILE HOME: A detached single-family dwelling unit used or so constructed as to permit its being used as a conveyance upon the public streets or highways and constructed in such a manner as will permit occupancy thereof as a dwelling or sleeping place for one or more persons.
