9-1-3: SCHOOL ZONE SPEED LIMIT:
   (A)   The city of Grace, Idaho, finds that it is necessary to establish a school speed zone on Main Street - State Highway 34 where schools are located to promote student, motorist, and pedestrian safety.
   (B)   There is hereby created a school zone on Main Street - State Highway 34 within the city limits of Grace, Idaho. The school zone shall extend from the south side of the right of way line of Monte Vista Drive within said city, to the south side of Second South Street, also in said city, where said streets intersect Main Street - State Highway 34.
   (C)   The maximum speed of all motor vehicles operated upon Main Street - State Highway 34 within said school zone during the hours and days that said zone is in effect shall be twenty (20) miles per hour. During the times and periods that said school zone is not in effect, the speed limit for Main Street - State Highway 34 shall be thirty five (35) miles per hour within the area designated above.    (D)   Said school zone shall be in effect when the amber lights on the traffic control "school zone" signs are flashing. (Ord. 276, 4-16-2008)
   (E)   The state of Idaho shall cause appropriate school zone and speed limit signs to be erected at the points designated on Main Street - State Highway 34. (Ord. 265, 6-7-2005)
