3-1-9: ASSISTANT IN CHARGE:
It shall be the duty of the Assistant Fire Chief to attend upon the Fire Chief and assist him in the performance of his duties and in the absence of the Fire Chief he shall perform the duties of that office. (1-709; 1947 Code)
