§ 36-33 VEHICLES FOR SPRINKLING STREETS.
The owner or operator of all vehicles used for the purpose of street sprinkling within the village, shall be charged for a license, the sum of $5 per annum, for each such vehicle, which sum shall be in addition to the sum charged for permission to sue water from the village hydrants for such vehicle; provided, however, that before issuing such license the superintendent of water shall prescribe the kind of vehicle to be used, specifying particularly the capacity of the tank, the number and size of the holes in the sprinkler, and the distance of the same from the ground, and also such general regulations as he or she may deem necessary concerning the use of such vehicles on the public streets and the use by them of village hydrants. For the due observance of such requirements, the superintendent of water may require from the person taking such license a good and sufficient bond in an amount and with sureties as may be approved by him or her.
