§ 34-2 SAME - NOTICE TO OWNERS AND OCCUPANTS; FAILURE TO OBEY NOTICE.
   Whenever any person whose duty it is to keep any tree trimmed or cut as provided in the preceding section shall fail to do so, the village shall serve notice or cause to be served upon such person notice requiring the same to be done forthwith, and if such person shall fail to cause such trees to be trimmed within ten days after the service of such notice, he or she shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a misdemeanor. Such notice may be served by delivering the same, or a copy thereof, to such owner or occupant, or by leaving the same at his or her usual place of business or abode, and in case such owner is a non-resident of the city, by posting such a notice in a conspicuous place upon the lot on or in front of which such trees may be located.
