§ 30-60 PERMIT FOR PLACING, CONSTRUCTING, MAINTAINING, ETC., STONES, SIDEWALK APPROACHES, ETC.
   Any person desiring to place, construct, maintain or control any sidewalk approaches, flagstones, stones, boulders or other hard material obstructions of like character in the parkway of any public thoroughfare adjoining or abutting a property owned or controlled by him or her, shall first make application for a permit therefor, which application shall be upon forms provided therefor by the village manager, and shall set forth the location of the property so owned or controlled and the details or character of the work or installation desired to be made under this section. Such application shall be submitted to the village manager for his or her approval or recommendation. If the same is approved by the village manager, a permit therefor shall be issued by him or her in the name of the village. It is a condition of all applications and permits issued under this section that the work of construction of any such installation or improvement under this section shall be made only upon plans and specifications that have the approval of the engineer of the village or the village manager. All applications hereunder shall be accompanied by a payment as set forth in the village’s Comprehensive Fee and Fine Schedule, which fee shall be paid into the village treasury for general use on the issuance of the permit.
