§ 27-9 DUTY OF RAILROADS AS TO STREETS, ETC., IN WHICH TRACKS ARE LAID.
   All railroads shall raise or lower their railroad tracks lying within the village so as to conform to any grade which may at any time be established for any street, alley or highway by ordinance of the village. Where such tracks run across or lengthwise on any such street, alley or highway, they shall keep their railroad tracks on a level with the surface, and keep such streets in good order, so that such tracks may be crossed at any place in such street, alley or highway. Where such tracks cross any street, alley or highway, they shall keep the same planked between the rails.
