(a) Cannabis defined. As used in this section cannabis includes marijuana, hashish and other substances that are identified as including any part of the plant Cannabis sativa, whether growing or not; the seeds thereof, the resin extracted from any part of such plant; and any compound, manufacture, salt derivative, mixture or preparation of such plant, its seeds or resin, including tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and all other canncabinol derivatives, including its naturally occurring or synthetically produced ingredients, whether produced by means of chemical synthesis or by a combination of extraction and chemical synthesis; but shall not include the mature stalks of such plant, fiber produced from such stalks, oil or cake made from the seeds of such plant, any other compound, manufacture, salt, derivative, mixture or preparation of such mature stalks (except the resin extracted therefrom), fiber, oil, cake or the sterilized seed of such plant that is incapable of germination.
(b) Possession prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any person to grow, possess, sell, give away, barter, deliver, exchange, distribute or administer any cannabis.
(c) Penalty. Any person who violates this section with respect to less than ten grams of cannabis shall be fined not less than $75 nor more than $250 for each offense.
