§ 24-45 RESISTING, ETC., POLICE OFFICER; ASSISTING, ETC., PERSONS IN CUSTODY.
   No persons shall resist any member of the police department in the discharge of his or her duty, nor in any way interfere with, hinder or prevent such discharge, nor offer or endeavor to do so; nor in any manner assist any person in custody of any member of the police force to escape or attempt to escape, nor rescue or attempt to rescue any person in custody.
