The village manager shall cause to be placed and maintained traffic-control signs, signals and other devices when and as required under this chapter and under state laws to make effective the provisions of this chapter and such state laws to make effective the provisions of this chapter and such state laws and may cause to be placed and maintained such additional traffic-control devices as he or she may deem necessary to regulate traffic under the provisions of this chapter or under state law, or to guide or warn traffic.
