The provisions of the Retail Food Store Sanitation Code/1992, Illinois Department of Public Health, Office of Health Protection, Division of Food, Drugs, and Dairies, (hereinafter referred to as the "Food Store Sanitation Code") are hereby adopted, subject to the additions, deletions and/or modifications hereinafter set forth, as part of the rules and regulations for health and sanitation of food service establishments and food stores in the village. A copy of the Food Store Sanitation Code shall be on file in the office of the village clerk. The additions, deletions and/or modifications to the Food Store Sanitation Code as applicable in the village are as follows:

760.20 | Add the following definitions to this section: Adulterated. The condition of any food: a. if it bears or contains any poisonous or deleterious substance in a quantity that may render it injurious to health. b. if it bears or contains any added poisonous or deleterious substance for which no safe tolerance has been established by regulation or is in excess of such tolerances if one has been established. c. if it consists in whole of in part of any filthy, putrid, or decomposed substance or if it is otherwise unfit for human consumption. d. if it has been processed, prepared, packed, or held under unsanitary conditions whereby it may have been contaminated with filth or whereby it may have been rendered injurious to health. e. if it is in whole or in part the product of a diseased animal or animal which has died otherwise than by slaughter. f. if its containers are composed in whole or in part of any poisonous or deleterious substance which may render the contents injurious to health. License. The document issued by the Village of Glencoe that authorizes a person to operate a food establishment. Permit. The document issued by the Village of Glencoe that authorizes a person to operate a food establishment. |
