(a) The Illinois Pure Food Law shall serve as the minimum requirements for the manufacture, processing, preparation, handling, labeling, storage and dispensing of all items of food and drink sold for human consumption in this village.
(b) The department of health is hereby empowered to adopt and enforce such reasonable regulations as may be necessary which may supplement and amplify the Illinois Pure Food Law.
