The village clerk, in a book to be kept for that purpose, before the next regular meeting after their passage shall record all ordinances passed by the board of trustees of the village. The village clerk shall also post copies of such ordinances in three of the most public places in the village, as designated by ordinance, and not later than 30 days after the passage thereof, and shall note at the foot of the record of each ordinance a memorandum showing the date of the passage and approval of such ordinance and the date of posting such ordinance after the passage thereof.
