§ 22. PREVENTION, ETC., OF RIOTS, DISTURBANCES OF THE PEACE, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, ASSAULTS, COCKFIGHTING, ETC.; RESTRAINT AND PUNISHMENT OF VAGRANTS, BEGGARS, PROSTITUTES, ETC. 
   To prevent, suppress and prohibit any riot, affray, tumult or disturbance of the peace, by loud or unusual cries, noises or any other disorderly conduct, disorderly assemblages, assault, assaults and batteries, battles by agreement, fighting matches, shooting matches, horse racing and cockfighting within the limits of said corporation; and to restrain and punish vagrants, mendicants, beggars and prostitutes.
