The inhabitants of said village by the name and style aforesaid, shall have power to sue and be sued, implead and be impleaded, defend and be defended in all courts of law and equity, and in all actions whatsoever; to purchase, receive and hold property, both real and personal, within the limits of the corporation, to purchase, receive and hold real property beyond and limits of the corporation, for burial grounds or other corporate purposes, for the use of said inhabitants; to improve and protect such property and lease, sell, convey and dispose of same, and do all other acts and things in relation thereto that natural persons may do.
