1320.14  HEATING FACILITIES.
   (a)   Facilities Required: Heating facilities shall be provided in structures as required in this section.
   (b)   Residential Buildings: Every dwelling shall be provided with heating facilities capable of maintaining a room temperature of 65 degrees F. in all habitable rooms, bathrooms and toilet rooms as listed in Section 1320.14.
   (c)   Heat Supply: Every owner and operator of any building who rents, leases or lets one or more dwelling units shall supply sufficient heat to maintain the room temperature as specified in 1320.13A.
   (d)   Room Temperature Exception: When the outdoor temperature is below the outdoor design temperature listed by the mechanical code in 1320.14, the owner or operator shall not be required to maintain the minimum room temperature provided the heating system is operating at full capacity.
   (e)   Nonresidential Structures: Every occupied work space shall be supplied with sufficient heat as described in subsection (d) hereof.
      (1)   Exceptions
         A.   Processing and operation areas that require cooling or special controls.
         B.   Areas where persons are primarily involved in vigorous physical activity.  (Ord. 1917.  Passed 8-10-17.)
