Any person who desires to install air conditioning equipment requiring the use of water after May 18, 1956, shall obtain approval of his or her installation and a permit to install the same from the Department of Buildings and shall give notice of completion of the installation. Upon being given notice of completion of the installation, an authorized representative of the Department of Buildings shall make an inspection of the installation. For each permit issued under the terms of this section, the applicant shall pay a fee as specified in Chapter 26 of this Code.
