3-4-1: DEFINITION:
"Junkyard" as used in this chapter shall mean a plot of ground, which may be covered with buildings, partly covered with buildings, or without any buildings, which plot of ground is used in connection with the buying, selling, storing or trading in of old iron, rags, hides, furs, rubber, wool, used car parts, old metals, bottles and the like commonly called junk. 3-4-2: LICENSE REQUIRED:
No person shall operate within the limits of the village a junkyard without first having obtained a license so to do. (Ord. 81, 5-12-1941)
3-4-3: LOCATION; CONSENT:
No junkyard shall be established in those parts of the village that are predominantly residential unless consent is obtained in writing of seventy five percent (75%) of the residents within a radius of five hundred feet (500') from the outer limits of the location of said proposed junkyard. (Ord. 81, 5-12-1941)
