3-9-1: AUTHORITY TO REGULATE:
This chapter is passed pursuant to 230 Illinois Compiled Statutes 40/1 et seq. (the Illinois video gaming act), notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any ordinance of the village. (Ord. 668, 6-12-2012)
3-9-2: FEE:
There is hereby imposed on the privilege of operating every video gaming terminal in the village, as defined by the Illinois video gaming act, 230 Illinois Compiled Statutes 40/65, an annual fee of twenty five dollars ($25.00) for each terminal. (Ord. 668, 6-12-2012)
3-9-3: DEFINITIONS:
For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning:
PERSON: As used herein shall include any person, firm, corporation or association, or partnership which, as permitted by state law and regulation, owns or possesses or places for use by the public any video gaming terminal, and shall also mean any such person, firm, corporation, partnerships or association having control over any video gaming terminal.
VIDEO GAMING TERMINAL: The same meaning as set forth in the Illinois gaming act, 230 Illinois Compiled Statutes 40/5. (Ord. 668, 6-12-2012)
