955.01 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter:
   (a)   "City" means the City of Elyria.
   (b)   "Park attendant" means a person immediately in charge of any park area and its activities.
   (c)   "Park" means a park, reservation, playground, beach, recreation center or any other area in the City, owned or used by the City, and devoted to active or passive recreation.
   (d)   "Person" means any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, company or organization of any kind.
   (e)   "Vehicle" means any wheeled conveyance, whether motor powered, animal-drawn or self-propelled. The term includes any trailer in tow of any size, kind or description. Exception is made for baby carriages and vehicles in the service of the City parks.

955.02 CASCADE PARK NAMED.
   The park lands given to the City by the heirs of Albert Ely, deceased, and by the heirs of Herman Ely and Will Ely, shall be known and designated as Cascade Park.

955.03 ELY PARK NAMED.
   The ground known and commonly called the "Public Square" shall be known and designated as Ely Park.

955.04 PERMISSION FOR PUBLIC MEETINGS IN ELY PARK.
   The Mayor may give permission when he believes the public good requires, to hold public meetings in Ely Park.
