§ 51.18  PREMISES VACATED, SOLD, OR RENTED; NOTIFICATION; SHUT-OFF.
   (A)   It shall be the duty of the Water Company, upon being notified of the vacation of any premises by a user, to immediately shut off the water supply at the curb-cock and to read the meter at that time.  The Water Company shall not again turn on the curb-cock for the purpose of water consumption by any other user until and unless the user shall make the deposit as required in § 51.33 of this code.
   (B)   If the user is the owner of the real estate, it shall be incumbent and necessary for the user to notify the Water Company upon the sale, renting, or leasing of the real estate to any other individual and also to notify the Water Company on the date of his or her vacation or removal from the premises.  The Water Company shall proceed in like manner on the date of vacation and removal from the premises to shut off the water at the curb-cock, read the water meter, and make all charges for water used until that date.  The water shall not be turned on until compliance with the provisions of this section and § 51.17 above.
