§ 51.33  METER DEPOSIT BY RENTERS OR CONTRACT PURCHASER AND FIRE HYDRANT METER RENTALS.
   (A)   Users who rent, rather than own their property, or contract purchasers supplied with water service shall pay a meter deposit in the sum of $50, which must be paid before the water shall be turned on for use.
   (B)   When the above user ceases to be a patron of the water company, the sum shall be returned if all water and other charges have been paid in full.
      (1)   If those charges have not been paid in full, the town has a right to deduct those charges from the deposit.
      (2)   If any balance then remains, it shall be paid to the user or held to his or her credit.
   (C)   Temporary fire hydrant meters may be rented during the construction phase of a project.
      (1)   Anyone who rents a two or three inch fire hydrant meter shall pay a deposit of $650 plus a rental of $10 per week.
      (2)   Anyone who rents a fire hydrant rental smaller than two inches shall pay a deposit of $100 plus a rental of $10 per week.
