The position of Chief Building Official shall be appointed by the Mayor and subject to a two-thirds confirmation of all the members of Council, and he shall perform such duties as may be assigned to him from time to time by the Mayor and/or Director of Public Safety. He may be removed from office by the Mayor, and such removal shall not take place without the concurrence of two-thirds of all the members of Council.
