(a) No fence shall be constructed and/or maintained in a condition so as to detract from general aesthetics, conditions and/or values.
(b) No fence will be permitted, erected or in any way maintained in front, rear or side yards which would in the option of the Chief Building Official be contrary or detrimental to the public health, safety, convenience, comfort, prosperity or general welfare of the City.
(c) No vegetation shall be planted or allowed to grow along any fence permitted by this section.
(d) No fence shall be permitted, erected or in any way maintained closer in the front yard than eighteen inches to the public right of way, except as outlined in Section 1361.02(b).
(e) Hedges, shrubs and/or other vegetation used to enclose, border or otherwise delineate front yards, rear yards, side yards or portions thereof, shall be maintained in the same manner as constructed fences, with respect to aesthetics, heights, distances from public rights of way, and in a matter not detrimental to the general health, safety and public welfare. No permit is required of this section.
(f) All fences shall have post support side facing into applicant’s property with finished side out.
