Any person holding a valid license pursuant to the laws of any city within the State wherein the license is issued pursuant to an ordinance or regulation similar in its intent and scope to this chapter and after oral examination and investigation as to competence, may be granted a similar license upon application with the Chief Building Official without taking the written examination provided for in Section 1313.03, upon the payment of the regular application fee and license fee.
