The Chief Building Official shall issue a certificate of registration to each general contractor applying when each of the following conditions has been met:
(a) The applying contractor has completed the application form to the satisfaction of the Chief Building Official.

(b) The applying contractor has furnished evidence of liability insurance for bodily injury in the minimum amount of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) each occurrence with an aggregate of one million dollars ($1,000,000) minimum for contractor registration.

(c) The applying contractor has tendered the certificate of registration fee as specified in Section 1309.05.
(d) Furnish a performance bond in the amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000).
Effective January 1, 2007, said performance bond amount shall be fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000).
(e) Must complete an application for certificate of tax registration.
