Whenever used in this chapter, the following terms shall mean and include the wording respectively ascribed to them:
(a) "Business District" means the area defined in 1147.01 of the Planning and Zoning Code.
(b) "Commissary" means a catering establishment, restaurant or any other place in which food, containers or supplies are kept, handled, prepared, packaged or stored.
(c) "Community event" means an event specifically approved granting use within a specifically defined area for a period of time not exceeding ten days to a community based organization.
(d) "Permit" means a temporary sidewalk occupancy permit authorized by Section 767.02.
(e) "Permittee" means the person who owns the vending device permitted to occupy a stationary location on a sidewalk.
(f) "Potentially hazardous food" means any food that consists in whole or part of milk or milk products, eggs, meat, poultry, fish, shellfish, edible crustacea or other ingredients, including synthetic ingredients, in the form capable of supporting rapid and progressive micro-organisms.
(g) "Sidewalk" means that portion of the street between the curb lines or the lateral lines of a roadway and the adjacent property.
(h) "Mobile vending device" means a container for the sale and/or display or transport of merchandise by a peddler, which has wheels and is capable of being moved by one person by muscular power.
(i) "Stationary vending device"means a stationary container for the sale, and/or display of merchandise, either through self-sales or by a peddler, with said container being permanently displayed at its location.
(j) "Vending device" means any mobile or stationary device capable of the sale and/or display of merchandise either by a peddler or through self-sales.
