12-3-2: DEFINITIONS:
As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires, certain terms and words shall be construed as provided in this section:
AIRPORT: The Dubuque Regional Airport and the lands embraced by the description as provided in the most current exhibit A documentation located at the airport administrative offices.
AIRPORT HAZARD: Any structure or tree or use of land which would exceed the federal obstruction standards as contained in 14 CFR 77 and which obstructs the airspace required for the flight of aircraft and landing or takeoff at an airport or is otherwise hazardous to such landing or taking off of aircraft.
AIRPORT REFERENCE POINT: Latitude 42 degrees 24'07°16", longitude 90 degrees 42'34°14". Airport elevation one thousand seventy six feet (1,076') mean sea level.
BOARD: The airport zoning board of adjustment created by the provisions of section 12-6-1 of this title.
USABLE LANDING AREA: That portion of the airport which is used or intended to be used for actual landings or takeoffs of aircraft at the airport. (Ord. 51-14, 8-4-2014)
