A. It is the purpose of this chapter to establish an orderly, efficient and expeditious process for boards and commissions of the city to execute in the conduct of hearing appeals.
B. The provisions of this chapter shall apply to all boards and commissions of the city authorized to conduct appeals unless a different procedure is specified for a particular board or commission by the code of ordinances of the city or by the code of Iowa. (2007 Code § 1-20)
