4-1-8: LICENSE SUSPENSION OR REVOCATION:
   A.   Authority To Suspend Or Revoke: The city manager may, upon good cause, suspend or revoke for a period not to exceed one year any license issued under this chapter.
   B.   License Issuance Prohibited During Period Of Suspension Or Revocation: No new license shall be issued to any applicant, the spouse or relative within the first degree of consanguinity as defined by the Iowa Code of any licensee so suspended or revoked during said period of suspension or revocation.
   C.   Issuance Of Notice Of License Suspension Or Revocation: The city manager shall cause to be issued a notice that said license is suspended or revoked and therein set forth the reason(s) therefor. Said notice shall be sent by first class United States mail to the registered business address on file with the city clerk.
   D.   City Manager Decision Appealed To City Council: Notice of appeal to the city council from the decision of the city manager shall be made by the licensee within ten (10) days from the date of suspension or revocation and shall be filed with the city clerk. The applicant may present evidence to the city council as to why the license should not be suspended or revoked. (2007 Code § 31-9)
