2-9-3: MEETINGS; DUTIES:
   A.   The board shall meet as needed and upon notice to the members of the board at least forty eight (48) hours in advance. The board, at its first meeting shall elect a chairman, vice chairman and secretary.
   B.   The board shall determine its own rules of procedure. The board, with the assistance of the code enforcement officer, the city attorney and the city manager may more fully develop its policies and procedures so long as those policies and procedures are in compliance with Oklahoma statutes related to abatement of nuisances.
   C.   It shall be the administrative hearing board for individuals who wish to contest any allegation that their property is the site of a nuisance. Upon the conclusion of any such hearing, the board shall make a determination as to whether a nuisance exists and may order the property owner to abate such nuisance within a time frame as determined by the board. Failure to abate such nuisance shall constitute grounds for filing of charges against the property owner in municipal court. (Ord. 292, 11-14-2011)
