A. Intent: This section shall pertain to electric fences on the perimeter of an owner's property.
B. Regulations:
1. Any electric fence in the city of Drumright must be UL listed and approved to be safe for humans.
2. Electric fences shall be clearly identified with warning signs at intervals of not less than sixty feet (60').
3. Prior to the electric fence becoming operational for the first time, the owner of an electric fence must notify all neighbors within three hundred feet (300') via certified mail that the fence is being installed.
4. Owners of electric fences must comply with all area, enclosure, and location ordinances regarding the animals they are enclosing.
C. Penalty: Individuals who violate this section may be fined fifty dollars ($50.00) per day for each day a fence is not in compliance. (Ord. 300, 7-8-2013)
