A. Requirements:
1. Refuse Collection Services: Except as provided in 7-11-030(B), a service provider shall collect, remove, and dispose of refuse by providing once a week collection at all residences within the city on a schedule and route to be determined by the city.
2. Recycling Collection Services: Except as provided in 7-11-030(B), a service provider shall collect, remove and dispose of recyclable items by providing bi-weekly collection at all residences within the city on a schedule and route to be determined by the city.
B. Subdivisions Accessible by Private Streets: Subdivisions that are only accessible by private streets may not qualify for city collection services. The city may determine whether these subdivisions are eligible for refuse and recyclable item collection. In the event the city determines the subdivision is not eligible for collection by the city's service provider, the subdivision must contract with another service provider for collection of refuse and recyclable items.
C. Authorized Collection: Except as otherwise provided in this code, only city approved service providers may haul solid waste within city limits.
D. Commercial Waste: Any commercial entity creating solid waste may remove its own solid waste or may employ the services of authorized contractors to remove the same. Removal and transportation of commercial solid waste must be consistent with the regulations contained in this code. (Ord. 1401, 9-24-2019)
