242.08 ACCOUNTING FOR EXPENDITURES FROM POLICE CONFIDENTIAL INVESTIGATION FUND.
   The Chief of Police shall, when necessary to restore the amount of the Police Confidential Investigation Fund, account for expenditures from the Fund by delivery to the Chief Fiscal Officer of appropriate vouchers and receipts evidencing each and every expenditure from such Fund, and on or before December 1 of every calendar year, he or she shall provide a written report to the Chief Fiscal Officer, showing a complete and adequate reporting of the receipts and expenditures of the Fund, together with a description of the purpose of the expenditure. TheChief Fiscal Officer is hereby authorized and directed to reimburse the Fund upon receipt of such properly executed vouchers and receipts for investigation items, the cost of which cannot be recovered or reimbursed.
