242.03 HOURS OF WORK.
   (a)   Except for emergency special duty assignments, the Shift Lieutenants, police officers shall not work in excess of forty hours per week. Eight hours per day constitutes a day's work. Subject to manpower and scheduling needs as determined by the Police Chief, all these members shall work rotating shifts including weekends, if it falls within their shift.
   (b)   The Police Chief and the Deputy Police Chief work at the discretion of the Mayor, but shall work an average of 40 hours per week, generally Monday through Friday.
   (c)   The Police Chief and the Deputy Police Chief shall be on call for duty in the case of emergencies at all times.
   (d)   All members of the Police Department shall be required to log in and out of work.
