1303.02 LETTER "B".
(a) "Balcony, exterior" means a parapet or railing-enclosed platform projecting out ward from the exterior wall of a building.
(b) "Basement" means that portion of the building which is partly underground and having one-half or more of its ceiling height above the average finished grade of the adjoining ground. (See "Cellar", Section 1303.03
(c).)
(c) "Bay window" means a window which projects beyond the wall line of a building.
(d) "Building" means a structure built or used for the shelter, occupancy, enclosure or support of persons, animals or chattels and is construed as if followed by "other structure, or parts thereof".
(e) "Building line" means a line beyond which no building or other structure or portion thereof, except as provided for in the Zoning Code, may be erected above the grade level. The building line is considered a vertical surface intersecting the ground on such line.
