5-2-4: PRIVATE PROPERTY PARKING RESTRICTIONS:
It shall be unlawful to park on private property without the consent of the owner of the property, providing the owner has posted a sign or furnished other notice of the parking restriction on the private property. (1970 Code §4-3.09, as amended)
   A.   Parking On Private Property:
      1.   Lyons Savings And Loan Association: No person shall park any vehicle on the property located at 450 West 55th Street, Countryside, Illinois, in any space designated on the plat made a part hereof and designated as "No Parking At Any Time", nor shall any unauthorized person park a vehicle in any space designated on said plat as "Handicapped Parking Only", nor shall any person disobey any traffic control sign as shown on said plat. Said restricted or prohibited parking zones are designated by signs and/or yellow paint stripes. This subsection is authorized and enforceable pursuant to a contract between the city of Countryside and the owner of said premises, Lyons Savings and Loan Association, dated July 11, 1984. A copy of said contract is on file in the office of the city clerk and recorded with the recorder of deeds of Cook County, Illinois, as document 27264628. (Ord. 85-32-0, 6-26-1985)
      2.   5503 South LaGrange Road: No unauthorized person shall park any vehicle on the property located at 5503 South LaGrange Road, Countryside, Illinois, in any space designated as "Handicapped Parking Only", nor shall any person disobey any traffic control sign posted thereon. Said restricted or prohibited parking zones shall be designated by signs and/or yellow paint stripes. This subsection is authorized and enforceable pursuant to a contract between the city of Countryside and the owner of said premises, dated February 10, 1986. A copy of said contract is on file in the office of the city clerk and with the recorder of deeds of Cook County, Illinois, as document 86071218. (Ord. 86-6-0, 3-12-1986)
      3.   5545 South LaGrange Road: No unauthorized person shall park any vehicle on the property located at 5545 South LaGrange Road, Countryside, Illinois, in any space designated as "Handicapped Parking Only", nor shall any person disobey any traffic control sign posted thereon. Said restricted or prohibited parking zones shall be designated by signs and/or yellow paint stripes. This subsection is authorized and enforceable pursuant to a contract between the city of Countryside and the owner of said premises, dated May 1, 1986. A copy of said contract is on file in the office of the city clerk and recorded with the recorder of deeds of Cook County, Illinois, as document 86188312. (Ord. 86-20-0, 5-13-1986)
      4.   5917 South LaGrange Road: No unauthorized person shall park any vehicle on the property located at 5917 South LaGrange Road, Countryside, Illinois, in any space designated as "Handicapped Parking Only", nor shall any person disobey any traffic control sign posted thereon. Said restricted or prohibited parking zones shall be designated by signs and/or yellow paint stripes. This subsection is authorized and enforceable pursuant to a contract between the city of Countryside and the owner of said premises, dated November 19, 1987. A copy of said contract is on file in the office of the city clerk and recorded with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, as document 87670717. (Ord. 88-01-0, 1-13-1988)
      5.   6518-44 West Joliet Road: No unauthorized person shall park any vehicle on the property located at 6518-44 West Joliet Road, Countryside, Illinois, in any space designated as "Handicapped Parking Only", nor shall any person disobey any traffic control sign posted thereon. Said restricted or prohibited parking zones shall be designated by signs and/or yellow paint stripes. This subsection is authorized and enforceable pursuant to a contract between the city of Countryside and the owner of said premises, dated September 28, 1988. A copy of said contract is on file in the office of the city clerk and shall be recorded with the recorder of deeds of Cook County, Illinois. (Ord. 88-40-0, 9-28-1988)
      6.   6406 Joliet Road And 6428 Joliet Road: No unauthorized person shall park any vehicle on the property located at 6406 Joliet Road and 6428 Joliet Road, Countryside, Illinois, in any space designated as "Handicapped Parking Only", nor shall any person disobey any traffic control sign posted thereon. Said restricted or prohibited parking zones shall be designated by signs and/or yellow paint stripes. This subsection is authorized and enforceable pursuant to a contract between the city of Countryside and the owner of said premises, dated November 7, 1989. A copy of said contract is on file in the office of the city clerk and shall be recorded with recorder of deeds of Cook County, Illinois. (Ord. 89-45-0, 11-8-1989)
      7.   Countryside Meadows Townhouses: No person shall park any vehicle upon South Meadowlark, Pheasant, Quail and West Meadow Drive between the hours of two o'clock (2:00) A.M. and six o'clock (6:00) A.M. on any day. Parking shall be prohibited on both sides of all streets where posted. No person shall park any boat, recreational vehicle or any other vehicle larger than that requiring a B license plate upon any street within Countryside Meadows, delivery and emergency vehicles temporarily parked for business purposes excepted. Guests and emergency parking shall be permitted overnight for a maximum of three (3) nights; provided, the city police department shall have first been notified. No parking shall be permitted at any time on any unpaved area within the Countryside Meadows townhouse development.
This subsection is authorized and enforceable pursuant to a contract between the city of Countryside and the owner of said premises, dated August 14, 1991, which contract is hereby authorized. A copy of said contract is on file in the office of the city clerk and shall be recorded with the recorder of deeds of Cook County, Illinois. (Ord. 92-08-0, 2-12-1992)
      8.   5400 South LaGrange Road: No person shall park any vehicle upon any portion of the premises commonly known as 5400 South LaGrange Road in violation of any prohibition, regulation, restriction or limitation of stopping, standing or parking of vehicles in specified areas of the parking lot where posted.       9.   Countryside Plaza: Parking or standing of trucks, tractors, trailers, box trucks or any other vehicle in excess of four (4) tons GVW on the property commonly known as Countryside Plaza is prohibited. Notice of such prohibition shall be duly posted in conformity with the Illinois "Manual Of Uniform Traffic Control Devices". This subsection is authorized and enforceable pursuant to a contract between the city of Countryside and the owner of said premises, dated May 12, 1999. A copy of said contract is on file in the office of the city clerk and is recorded with the recorder of deeds of Cook County, Illinois. (Ord. 99-43-0, 10-13-1999)
   B.   Regulation Of Parking On Private Property:
      1.   It shall be unlawful to park any motor vehicle upon any part of any "zoning lot", as defined in section 10-1-3 of this code, which is not a driveway or designated parking area paved with asphalt or concrete, except as provided in subsection B2 of this section.
      2.   Motor vehicles may be parked upon unpaved portions of a zoning lot under the following circumstances:
         a.   Where a driveway or designated parking area is constructed of material other than asphalt or concrete paving, such as stone or gravel, vehicles may be parked upon such a driveway at any time; however, no area of grass, clay, dirt, mud or sand shall be considered a driveway or designated parking area for the purposes hereof.
         b.   When, because of some special event or circumstance, it is necessary to park motor vehicles upon other than an existing driveway or parking area, such vehicles may be parked thereon; provided, however, the city police department shall first be notified of the date and time such vehicles will be so parked; and further provided no such parking shall continue for more than seventy two (72) consecutive hours or for more than a total of seventy two (72) hours within any twelve (12) month period upon any zoning lot, without the prior consent of the city council. When such parking occurs, all reasonable efforts will be made to park vehicles as far back from the front yard lot line as practicable.
         c.   Emergency or construction vehicles may be parked upon other than driveways or parking areas when such parking is incidental and necessary to the performance of the functions which such vehicles are on the premises to accomplish. (Ord. 86-08-0, 3-26-1986)
