There is hereby established a Cleveland Heights Transportation and Environmental Sustainability Committee. The purpose of this Committee shall be to provide a means for the community to obtain information about matters related to transportation within the City of Cleveland Heights and about the City's connectivity to nearby regions, to make recommendations to Council on transportation plans for the City, particularly plans that affect and improve transportation by modes which are alternatives to private automobiles, to educate and advocate for a more sustainable future, to assist in implementing the City’s Complete and Green Streets Policy, to advocate for environmental justice, and to consider policy recommendations related to environmental sustainability that increase resilience in the face of climate change or human or environmental pressures, that reduce Cleveland Heights’ carbon footprint, or that protect
