(a) Whoever violates this chapter for parking, stopping or standing a motor vehicle in violation thereof, in addition to the impounding provisions and charges provided by the Traffic Code, shall be subject to the penalty hereinafter provided.
(b) Whoever violates any provision of this chapter or fails to comply with any order made thereunder shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) or imprisoned not more than six months, or both. Each day a violation continues shall constitute a separate offense. The imposition of a penalty shall not excuse the violation nor permit it to continue, and such violation shall be remedied.
