The Residential Building Code of Ohio, as well as any subsequent amendments to the Code, as published in Division 4101:8 of the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC), “Board of Building Standards: Residential Code of Ohio,” is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference as part of the Cleveland Heights Residential Code as if fully set out herein, save and except such portions herein deleted, modified or amended. The purpose of the Residential Building Code of Ohio is to provide minimum standards to ensure that all one (1), two (2) and three (3) family dwellings or parts and appurtenances thereof shall be constructed, erected, equipped and maintained so as to be safe and sanitary for their intended use and occupancy. A complete copy of the Residential Code of Ohio, as adopted, is on file with the Clerk of Council and the Cleveland Heights Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library.
