917.06 ELECTRIC WIRES NEAR TREES.
   No person shall willfully cause or authorize or procure a wire or other conductor charged with electricity to come in contact with any tree upon any public place in such manner that the tree is thereby injured or destroyed. If the Mayor determines it necessary to cut down or prune any tree on a public place, the owner of wires or conductors in close proximity thereto shall temporarily remove such wires or otherwise safeguard them, within twenty-four (24) hours after service of written notice to do so by the Mayor.
