745.14 INVESTIGATION OF APPLICANT; CERTIFICATE OF PHYSICAL EXAMINATION.
   The Mayor shall make such investigation or examination of every applicant for a driver's license as he shall deem necessary and he may, in his discretion, appoint deputies to serve without compensation in assisting him in investigating and examining applicants for drivers' licenses. The Mayor may, if he deems it necessary, require any applicant for a driver's license to submit the certificate of a reputable physician showing that he has examined the applicant within sixty (60) days prior thereto and that he has found him to be of sound physique with good eyesight and not subject to epilepsy, vertigo, heart trouble or any other infirmity of body or mind which might render him unfit for the safe operation of a taxicab or automobile for hire.
