§ 91.05 KEEPING OF LIVESTOCK, FOWL AND NON-DOMESTICATED ANIMALS PROHIBITED.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to keep any livestock in the town. This prohibition shall not apply to horses, cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, or any domestic fowl on any premises in the town where the premises have previously been used for the keeping of livestock. If the premises have previously been used for livestock keeping, it shall be unlawful to keep any livestock on the premises if for any period of 30 consecutive days no livestock is kept on the premises.

   (B)   It shall be unlawful to keep and confine non-domesticated native wildlife on any premises. However, exotic animals as customarily available from reputable pet shop establishments shall not be prohibited under the provisions of this section.
   (C)   It shall be unlawful for any person to keep or maintain fowl or poultry within the town, except chickens may be kept, with no permit requirement, subject to the following conditions:
      (1)   Roosters are prohibited.
      (2)   No more than ten chickens may be kept on any individual lot or lots owned by the same person or entity provided the property contains no less than 6,000 square feet.
      (3)   Chickens must be confined in a pen or chicken coop at all times.
      (4)   Any chicken pen or coop shall have a top or lid, must be located in the rear yard, shall be no less than 25 feet from any adjacent property line and shall be kept in a clean, sanitary and healthful condition with all droppings and organic materials to be removed and disposed of in a proper manner.
      (5)   Chickens shall not be kept for a commercial purpose, such as production of eggs for sale or processing of chickens for sale.
      (6)   Outdoor slaughter in public view shall be prohibited.
