§ 93.99 PENALTY.
   (A)   General. Whoever violates any provision of this chapter for which no penalty is otherwise provided, shall be fined not more than $2,500 for each offense.
   (B)   Fire Code.
      (1)   Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of the code or standards adopted in §§ 93.01 through 93.04, or fail to comply therewith, or who shall build in violation of any detailed statement of specifications or plans submitted and approved thereunder, or any certificate or permit issued thereunder, and from which no appeal has been taken, or who shall fail to comply with an order as affirmed or modified by the Town Council or by a court of competent jurisdiction, within the time fixed herein, shall severally for each and every violation and noncompliance, respectively, be guilty of a code violation punishable by a fine of not more than $2,500. The imposition of a penalty for any violation shall not excuse the violation or permit it to continue; and all persons shall be required to correct or remedy the violations or defects within a reasonable time; and when not otherwise specified, each ten days that prohibited conditions are maintained shall constitute a separate offense.
      (2)   The application of the above penalty shall not be held to prevent the enforced removal of prohibited conditions.
      (3)   The Chief and members of the Fire Prevention Bureau shall have the authority to issue citations for violation of the Uniform Fire Code adopted hereunder. Any citations so issued shall be issued in the same manner prescribed by state law for violations of municipal ordinances.

   (C)   Smoke Detectors.
      (1)   Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of the code adopted or fail to comply with §§ 93.30 through 93.34, or who shall violate or fail to comply with any order made thereunder, or who shall build in violation of any detailed statement of specifications or plans submitted and approved thereunder, or any certificate or permit issued thereunder, from which no appeal has been taken, or who shall fail to comply with an order as affirmed or modified by the Town Council, or by a court of competent jurisdiction, within the time fixed herein, shall severally for each and every violation and noncompliance respectively, be guilty upon conviction of a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more than $2,500 and all persons shall be required to correct or remedy the violations or defects within a reasonable time; and when not otherwise specified, each 15 day(s) that prohibited conditions are maintained shall constitute a separate offense.
      (2)   The application of the above penalty shall not be held to prevent the enforced removal of prohibited conditions.
   (D)   A violation of § 93.05 is subject to a maximum fine of $2,500 per occurrence per day.
